Day Spa and Evening Entertainment

Hello TAers!

Usually I contribute to the Italy and Norway forums but now I find myself in need of some assistance. I%26#39;m attending a very high brow society wedding (for all those who don%26#39;t know, yes, there is very high society in Omaha, Nebraska apparently....) and I have been put in charge of information gathering for my group of hens that will be hanging out the Friday before.

The boys are playing golf that day and for the ladies, I am trying to locate a good day spa - something upscale with atmosphere and good services along with a nice public area where my friends and I can hang out between services. I don%26#39;t want basically a regular salon that offers some other services - I am looking for a true spa.

I have come across a few on my own - Jasmine Salon, Velvet Chair and Faces among them. I wonder if anyone can comment on these or offer suggestions for any others of this caliber? I%26#39;m having a hard time getting websites for quite a few so internet addresses would be appreciated.

Also, assumming they are not having a huge rehearsal dinner, we will be looking for fun and entertainment on Friday night. We are all 30-50 somethings, fun loving, enjoy music and a great cocktail. Any suggestions or tips to local spots are appreciated.

Looking forward to my first peek at true Middle America! I%26#39;ve been North, South, East and West, but never in the middle. Should be fun!

Thanks friends! LL

Hi, I was wondering if you ended up finding a spa that you liked, and if you could give me any information about the one you chose?

Thanks a ton,

Spa lover

Have a good time at the wedding.

Check this place out to see if its what you are looking for in a spa.

For some fun you might want to check out the Horseshoe Casino in nearby Council Bluffs - they usually have live bands in their %26#39; Whiskey Roadhouse %26#39; Friday nights usually have more headliners with a cover charge.

Someone else here will have to tell you about other night spots in Omaha as we are more into dining than clubbing.

You will hear a lot about the %26#39;Old Market %26#39; district in downtown Omaha- there are a lot of nice bars and dining establishments there and I am sure music etc.
