Comfort Inn at the Zoo hotel is booked for the dates that I want to visit Omaha. What other hotels are CLOSE to the zoo? I looked on a map and they all look so far?? Please recommend!
HOTELS by the Henry Doorly ZOO??Look at the large assortment of hotels just north of the inter-state on 72nd St. It looks like a long way on the map, but it is very easy to get to and get back to the zoo. The zoo is right off the inter-state on 13th St. Unless there is an accident on the inter-state, you won%26#39;t have a very long commute time. We have stayed in several hotels there and liked them all, except the Super 8 which is very dated. The Henry Doorly zoo is great with the Desert Done, Lied Jungle, the cat complex, the orangutan forest, and gorilla valley.

There is a Homewood Suites at 7010 Hascall, a Super 8 at 7111 Spring, a Comfort Inn at 7007 Grover and also a Travelodge in the area. There is a dated Holiday Inn with a holidome as well.
If you prefer to stay closer to downtown there is a beautiful Hilton, Embassy Suites, and Courtyard. The downtown hotels would be within walking distance of the Old Market ans about 5-10 minutes from the zoo, but they will be more expensive. Hope this helps!

Even easier than that.. Head straight south on 13th st to Bellevue. Tons of hotels. Take your pick. Much easier.
