Picnic spot

Where in Omaha is the best place/park for a picnic?

Picnic spot

There are tons of nice places.. I guess it kinda depends on where you are staying at. Just pick a park that is close.

I always like parks that are on water.. like a park with a lake or a park by the river.

Picnic spot

Wherspann Lake / Chalco Hills recreation area is nice - just off I-80 1/2 mile west on Hwy 370. Actually the north entrance off of Giles Road

will take you to the nicest places to set up. There is a nice 6 mile paved path around the lake. Not too crowded. This is actually a bit south of Omaha outside the city limits.

On the north side of Omaha , Standing Bear Lake is nice - Between 132nd and 144 Street near Fort.

Lake Zorinsky at around 168th and F is a nice spot too for a picnic a little fishing and a ball game.

Skip Cunningham Lake - it is closed for dredging.

Or Hayworth park in Bellevue.. right on the river. Nice spot.
