Need restaurant recommendation

We%26#39;re coming to Omaha for the BH annual meeting, and are looking for restaurant recommendations for Friday May 1. We%26#39;re staying at the Holiday Inn Convention Center (S. 72nd St). Ideally we%26#39;d like a local restaurant, not a chain. We are 4 adults that like diverse food, not necessarily steak, upscale is ok. We%26#39;d like to avoid the crowds in Old Market (or at Gorat%26#39;s). Your help is appreciated.

Look up:

Prestige World Class

Prima 140

They might be what you are looking for.

Spezia for Italian

Binion%26#39;s Steakhouse at the Horseshoe Casino in the Bluffs if you are looking for great food and a little gaming action - or the Waterfront Grill in the Ameristar for that matter.

Johnny%26#39;s has good steaks.

I%26#39;ve heard Jams Bar %26amp; Grill is great.

Visit their website www.jamseats.com/

I%26#39;ve been told they have great daily specials %26amp; really fresh seafood.

Upstream Brewery is really good %26amp; you can steer clear of the Old Market %26amp; go to their west location on 171st %26amp; Maple.

Just my two cents!

A new one for us that was excellent 94/95 Sports Grille. It is not listed yet on TA yet so here is some info I found on the web.

I had the Mediterranean Pasta at $9 had a huge portion, it was super. My DH had the backyard burger with fries, awesome. Waiters recommendation for wine was a hit as well. Next visit can%26#39;t get here soon enough!!

Thanks for the recommendations. We ate at Darios, and it was the right choice. Nice neighborhood restaurant off the beaten tourist path. Great food, tasty and not too heavy. (I had trout; others had mussels or mushroom crepes). Extensive beer list. Nice casual clothes fit right in. The only downside was the parking: very limited parking in the area. We should have planned extra time to circle the block. All in all, though, a terrific meal in a fun setting. Thanks.
