1 day trip to Lincoln, 1st time visit

Hi Everyone,

We are planning a road trip and one of our stops will be Lincoln. We will only be in town for 1 day at most and this will be in the month of May. Can anyone recommend, for a first time visitor on a limited amount of time, what would be the ';must dos';?

We really don%26#39;t care what we do, we just want to experience the best time we can while we%26#39;re in Lincoln on our short amount of time and absolutely any input would be appreciated.

We will have a car, if that means anything.

1 day trip to Lincoln, 1st time visit

If you have only one day I would spend my time in the Haymarket area. This is near downtown and the University. There are many restaurants and galleries in this area. Some recommendations would be: The Oven (Indian food), Lazlo%26#39;s, and The Mill for coffee. The Saturday Farmers Market is great!! You might also wander over to the Sheldon Art Museum which is on the south side of UNL.
