steak dinner

My two brothers and I will be staying at the Double Tree off 72nd street this next weekend. WE won%26#39;t get in til after 8PM on thursday. Can anyone reccommend a good steak house near our hotel that won%26#39;t put us into bankrupycy?

Well, a favorite of Warren Buffett%26#39;s is Gorats. It%26#39;s on 49th St.

You%26#39;re best bet might be Anthony%26#39;s steakhouse. It%26#39;s on 72nd street, just south of the Interstate, so maybe like a 10 minute drive tops. It%26#39;s your typical 70%26#39;s style midwestern steakhouse, but I%26#39;ve heard that%26#39;s it%26#39;s pretty good.

1) Vincenzo%26#39;s, 7605 Pacific, is excellent and cozy for steaks and Italian!

2) Caniglia%26#39;s Venice Inn on 70th %26amp; Pacific is always good.

3) Brother Sebastian%26#39;s, 119th south of Pacific, is great and only a short drive.

4) Piccolo Pete%26#39;s, 2202 S 20th, is often over-looked but great and an Omaha favorite.

5) Gorat%26#39;s is good but over-rated, long waits on weekends.

6) Anthony%26#39;s is okay but nothing impressive.

Recommend calling for reservations before 5.

What happened to Mr. C%26#39;s? I rememebr going there as a kid for a family reunion. Sad to see this place is gone.

socal55wm,

Where%26#39;d you end up for your steak dinner?

Mr C%26#39;s - owners were very old - they decided to close down. Not to mention that they had a lot of better competition and a lot of west side Omaha people didn%26#39;t want to chance driving though that part of town.
