Downtown Omaha-in the Old Market-is a nice area, with shopping, cafes, bars and a park. The Art Museum is probably a couple of miles away if you really want to go. There%26#39;s a theater around the area.

It%26#39;s really up to what you like to do.

Omaha obivously isn%26#39;t Chicago with its fantastic public transportation.

I%26#39;d be okay without a car there for a day. With more free time, I%26#39;d get a car.

Kind of depends on what you%26#39;d like to see and how much time you have.

The Old Market is nice to walk around, but if you aren%26#39;t into shops and cafes, you%26#39;ll get through it pretty quickly. The Josyln art museum isn%26#39;t bad and that could take an hour and is in decent walking distance from the embassy suites.

If you have more time, the zoo is always an option. That could take your entire day though. A taxi may run $10 or so each way, so if that%26#39;s the only tax ride you take, may not be worth renting a car.

The SAC museum is about a 40 min drive from downtown Omaha and would require a car. It%26#39;s kind of neat if your into aircraft.

May depend on your interests the Western Heritage Museum is about three blocks south of the Old Market on the 10th Street viaduct.

If you%26#39;re a sports fan then the Omaha Beef indoor football has a game the 17th at the Civic Auditorium and Creighton%26#39;s baseball team has a series with Louisana-Monroe at Rosenblatt May 15-17.

The Omaha Symphony will be performing a tribute to John Williams May 16-18 at the Holland Performing Arts Center for a little musical entertainment.

Aside from the baseball games the others are located downtown.
