Fun place for drinks on fri in the Old Mill area!

We are in town for a wedding and are staying at the Crowne in the Old Mill area. We have some free time friday night and are looking for a fun place to get drinks. We are 25 and love live music. Any advice? Thanks!

Hey guys,

I found this forum on accident a few minutes ago, you%26#39;re in luck. I just happen to live in that exact part of town and know it really well. If you are looking for a relaxing neighborhood bar, which is what I prefer at 37, and happens to be where I will be on Fri, Sat, etc. you could WALK down the hill from the Crowne, you%26#39;ll know which hill I am referring to when you get there, to the Old Mill Lounge. We are there a little too often 5-6 nights a week, but enjoy the company of many of my best friends.

Sounds like you like live music though. A short drive or cab ride away, approx. 1.5 miles, is a nice bar under new ownership called ';The Revue'; Usually has live music on weekends, when I used to go I remember hearing alot of blues. May want to call first, but pretty sure they still have bands on weekends.

Another idea would be to go to the Miracle Hills area, only about .5 miles from the Crowne. Could possibly walk if in the mood, in that area there are several entertaining venues, IE. The Shag and Fadora%26#39;s are right next door to each other, both, kindof hard to explain I guess, mostly younger crowd, new and nice, they get very busy. Paddy Murphy%26#39;s is a fun bar, restaurant attached to a dance club called Club Patrick%26#39;s, or right across the street from those four is a nice sport%26#39;s bar called DJ%26#39;s Dugout.

Hope this helps, have a fun and safe trip!

The Swede,
