Omaha on a Sunday

I am coming into Omaha next Sunday, leaving Tuesday night.

I get in around 2pm on Sunday, but it looks like lots of places are closed or close early on Sunday. I assume it will be cold. Where can I go that is interesting %26amp; open on Sunday afternoon.

What two restaurants in Omaha should I not miss. No national chains, I can do Ruths Chris or Cheesecake Factory any place. I would like local or small regional chains that I can%26#39;t get in CA.

It will be cold!

Where are you staying?

As far as places to eat, you can%26#39;t go wrong at a nice steakhouse in Omaha. If you want upscale, you%26#39;ve got a lot to choose from. I think there%26#39;s some old posts about the better ones.

A couple that come to mind are

Sullivan%26#39;s

Jack Binions%26#39; Steakhouse Horeshoe Casino

Flemings

Mahogany%26#39;s

I%26#39;d say we have a fair amount of good restaurants in town. Seems like half the town eats out every night. Gives us something to do I guess. Anyway, here%26#39;s a link to the Omaha World Herald%26#39;s restaurant reviews from the last couple of years. Perhaps you can find something that interests you. If you do, post a question and some of us can chime in.

I wound up at the Hilton Garden Inn next to Pointe Village. A nice location given that my business was on this side of town.

Thanks for the recommendations. Sullivans %26amp; Flemings I have been to in many other locations and while I like them very much I wanted to do something more local. I went to the Original Johnny%26#39;s, which was good and I also went to Gorat%26#39;s which I thought was cool as well. I like the ';old school'; thing a lot when I am traveling.

I also ate at Stokes for lunch and it was a nice southwest place.

Thanks for the update. Yeah, Johnn%26#39;s and Gorats are definitely some old school places. Glad you enjoyed them.
