Any unique kids type restaurants?

I am taking my kids to the WWE wrestling event this weekend , and we are staying near the Quest center, We do this type of trip once a year in different cities and try to go to unique restaurants. (non-chains). In Memphis we went to a place with a Big Foot theme and massive hamburgers. They love that sort of thing.

Any recommendations? We have a car.

In the Old Market area, just short walk from Quest there is Spaghetti Works, which my kids loved for the all-you-can-eat pasta served to your table, and salad bar. www.spagworks.com

Others I can think of in Old Market: Zio’s Pizza is a kid favorite as they hand toss the crust. There are many places to sit outside. There is a small old fashioned diner. Durham Western Museum has an old fashioned soda fountain.

The latest request is to re-visit Kobe Steakhouse where they chop and cook in front of you. It is a car ride to 120 Regency Parkway.

The Amazing Pizza Machine just off Millard Ave and U Street has glow in the dark minature golf, indoor go carts, arcade games and different rooms for dining.

The restaurant section is actually more of a pizza buffet with some pasta dishes and fried chicken or something else.

There are 4 or 5 rooms for dining with different themes in each one is a large screen playing cartoons anotherhas one for parents with sports on and so on.
