Great Halloween Fun in Omaha Area

Does anyone know of some great fun things to do for Halloween in the General Omaha Area?

Here are a few ideas for the kids. The zoo is having their Spooktacular from 10am - 3pm on Oct 24th. The kids can wear their costumes to the zoo and trick-or-treat there. The Wildlife Safari holds it%26#39;s Haunted Tram from October 26th - 28th. The kids can wear costumes, and they have hot dogs, smores, and candy! This is only for children ages 4 and up.

The Omaha Childrens Museum has what they call the Cobweb Castle opening October 2nd. They also have their Trick-or-treat nights from 6-8pm on October 14th and Oct 21st. They are also having dress-up day October 31st. October 29th is the Halloween Hoopla from 6-8pm, as well.

And, of course, there is always the annual visit to the pumpkin patch (we go to Vala%26#39;s) and it is a lot of fun to do the hayrack ride out at Shady Lanes.

I hope this helps you!

Go to Ball%26#39;s Cemetary. It%26#39;s the scariest place in Nebraska. If you can find it and make it past the guy with the gun, it%26#39;s great fun. VERY VERY OLD and crap your pants scarey. A must for a thrill seeker.

Halloween With the Wild Things at Fontenelle Forest Nature Center offers the whole family a chance to take a nightime hike on the barrrier free baordwalk in the forest in search of the Great Pumkin --- with nature lessons about the %26#39;night-time forest creatures%26#39; along the way!

My husband %26amp; I will be making a trip to the Omaha area in October this year. I%26#39;m originally from near there %26amp; we thought it%26#39;d be great to go haunted housing again.

Does anyone know what haunted houses will be open this year? Or any other good ideas for us during that time of year. We do not have children, so no need for family friendly activity only.

Check out Scary Acres in Sarpy county:

Also - Vala%26#39;s Pumpkin patch

There are usually more listed in the Omaha paper as th date arrives.

There are also some %26#39;corn mazes %26#39; in the area.

Shady Lane over in Crescent Iowa used to have hayrack rides and bonfire pits that you can reserve ( as does Vala%26#39;s ) ...

You also have the mall Halloween trick or treating. All of the malls have something! Shadow lake and Westroads and also Oak view mall.
