Colton's and Dickeys BBQ close up

From Omaha.com %26gt; I liked Colton%26#39;s, we were at Dickey%26#39;s only a month ago and it was good but a little expensive for very casual BBQ in the Omaha Market - well they are both gone....

--------------------------

After slugging it out for more than three years at 17501 West Center Road, Colton%26#39;s Woodfired Grill closed Sunday night. ( 09/07 )

Dan Kavan, a manager, said the restaurant%26#39;s owners determined it wasn%26#39;t profitable enough. He said he was not aware of any plans for a new concept in the same space.

Customers with unredeemed gift certificates can mail them (with name and return address) to the company%26#39;s home office: Handcut Steaks Inc., 5 Shackleford Plaza, Suite 200, Little Rock, AR 72211. Kavan said the company would supply replacement gift certificates to Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, a similarly styled but unrelated restaurant in Village Pointe.

Snuffed out, too?

The Omaha area%26#39;s only Dickey%26#39;s Barbecue Pit - opened in January at 14440 F St. - also seems to have closed.

Its phone rang unanswered, its address was no longer listed on the company Web site and the place was locked and dark during regular business hours this week.

A call to the chain%26#39;s Dallas headquarters was not immediately returned.

No surprise that either of them closed
