kids activities in Omaha and Lincoln?

Hi! Will be coming to Omaha Sunday July 20-23. We are going to the zoo, but what else do you all recommend? My kids love mini golf and go carts, and I have a train nut son. Thanks for the help! They are 7 and 10.

The Durham Museum for your train nut it%26#39;s a converted depot on So 10th Street.

The Childrens Museum may interest the younger one more than the older.

The Amazing Pizza Machine is an indoor family entertainment center with a buffet mostly pizza but does have some other things and different dining rooms to choose from.

The Sac Air %26amp; Space Museum is between Omaha %26amp; Lincoln on the southside of the Platte River next to Mahoney State Park which has a waterpark and horseback riding along with several other things to do.

Mahoney State Park has mini golf too I believe. Never played it, but pretty sure they have it.

There%26#39;s also the Union Pacific museum in Council Bluffs. It%26#39;s more historical in nature, but may be worth stopping by.

I think that the SAC museum is worth a stop too.

The Papio Fun Park has both go-karts and mini golf. You can look it up online for prices and directions.

Thunder Alley has indoor go-karts as well as laser tag, bowling and arcade games.

Omaha has a new indoor waterpark called Coco Key. It is attached to the Holiday Inn.

Mahoney also has paddle boats. If you go there, you can eat at the lodge which overlooks the Platte River.

Lincoln has a children%26#39;s zoo and they sell food to feed the goats and camels. Here you will find a small train that you can ride.

Tours of the capital building are free and kids like to see the murals on the floor, go up to the top and look out over the city, just certain elevators go to the top.

We also have a great children%26#39;s museum with 3 floors and lots of different activities to keep kid%26#39;s interest.

Also, down by the Children%26#39;s Museum, but 6 blocks west (in the Haymarket) are some old railroad cars that have been restored. You take Q st west and you will literally run into them. A mural of a train is on one wall, by a small water tower. It is made out of brick.

Champion%26#39;s Fun Center has both mini-golf and go-carts. Also, they have go-carts for younger kids. Inside they have arcade games, just don%26#39;t eat the greasy pizza.

We also have the National Roller Skating Museum.

Welcome to the area.
