The Hilton downtown next to the Qwest is a nice place, and the Embassy Suites has a great location with respect to the Old Market.
If you peruse through the Omaha Hotel reviews, careful if you see the word ';downtown'; in the title. The Fairfield Inn and Homewood Suites are a good mile from the Old Market. Probably not walkable, espicially in the cold December weather.
The Hilton Omaha by the Qwest is probably the northernmost ';Old Market'; hotel that%26#39;s walkable. If you want walkable, I%26#39;d stay anywhere from 10th and Dodge/Capital to 14th and Jackson ish.
